Endless Mode Reflections: My Quest for Mewtwo and Game Insights

Post by 740orange »

Hey, fellow trainers! Currently, I’m traveling through wave 2300+ in endless mode, and my goal is to catch the elusive Mewtwo. This journey has been filled with fun, excitement, and a few challenges that I've been eager to explore Pokerogue and Pokerogue Dex . Here are my thoughts on the game thus far.

The Thrill of Endless Mode

First off, I must applaud the addictiveness of endless mode. It’s structured so that each session is engaging and fast-paced, making it easy to stay immersed. One of the best parts is that Pokémon can learn moves that are generally unavailable to them in regular games. This unique twist adds a refreshing element to strategy and encourages creative gameplay.

I’m also a big fan of the shiny variants introduced, which keeps me hopeful every time I play. The sheer satisfaction of seeing high damage numbers is exhilarating, and it keeps me striving to push further into the waves without tiring.

Potential Improvements

Despite my enjoyment, there are areas for improvement that could vastly enhance the gaming experience. The issue of enemy damage reduction and tokens is concerning. It’s astonishing to face an enemy that’s thousands of levels below me and still get defeated in a single hit. I suggest considering a cap on these reductions or minimizing the potency of additional damage tokens to create a fairer scenario.

Additionally, each item tier could use more diversity, especially in master and rogue tiers, which currently offer the best options. Once you achieve full stacks, those items often sit idle, which feels underwhelming.

Encouraging Team Variety

The current strategy often revolves around a single powerhouse Pokémon. This calls for team diversity enhancements. I propose introducing an item that levels up a chosen Pokémon to match the highest level in your squad. This change wouldn’t overpower a selected Pokémon but would allow for varied gameplay without sacrificing balance.

Lastly, I think there should be a selection feature in the legendary gacha to target specific Pokémon. Waiting endlessly for a single legendary can be tedious with the vast selection available.

In conclusion, I’m thoroughly enjoying this game! It stands out brilliantly among ROM hacks and fan-made games, and I can’t wait to catch that elusive Mewtwo. Here’s hoping the developers consider some of these suggestions to further improve an already fantastic experience!
